In the spotlight!

It looks a beautiful day ..... until you step out of the door & almost get blown away! That wind is more like a March Lion than an April breeze! Rather cold too!

Undaunted we headed out for our walk this afternoon ...... a very blustery walk!

As usual at the moment we headed up the road ...... spotted this lovely Holly Blue butterfly ....... it was quite a challenge getting this photo as the wind was blowing me, the camera & the butterfly! Finally managed this!

We heard the Chiffchaff but couldn't see it today ..... we saw Blue & Great Tits ...... watched Kestrels doing what looked like a courtship flight ..... heard both a Wren & a Chaffinch singing .... but unusually no Robins!

As we headed back we saw this Small White making the most of the Sweet Nettles ...... it was quite difficult to get a clear image as the nettles were down the bank of the ditch .... hope you like what I managed :-)
