The wild white flowered cherry tree at the entrance to the allotments is looking spectacular tonight in the late evening sunshine against the cloudless blue sky. Bumble bees are still busy enjoying the pollen and nectar offered as a reward by the sweet smelling blossom. Also looking good are the cultivated punk flowering cherry trees in the neighbouring Haw’s Park. However, no sweet smell and no bees at this blossom
