Day 33- Georgette Heyer

Day 33 - cycled to Wimbledon to find the house where Georgette Heyer (1902-1974 ) was born. She started writing when young and had her first publishing contract at 18. She is best know for her romance novels set in the 18th century and English Regency period. They included meticulous historical research. She also wrote some thrillers. By the time of her death she had become a global publishing phenomenon, selling a million copies each year in Britain alone. Of her 56 published novels 51 remain in print today. I remember reading her novels when at school! The house looked in a very run down state.

Tasks today
- posted a couple of parcels
- cleaned the patio ,again, with ‘Black Spot’ which really works.
- had a delivery of gro bags and a few plants from the local garden centre.
