The Big Buddha

The Big Buddha is on top of the hills between Chalong and Kata. Local Buddhists and friends decided to create this amazing landmark as a place of worship and for tourists to visit and appreciate. The project is being funded solely from donations and seems to be going well so far. We were lucky enough to go and see the work in progress today.
