Day 27: Vibrant

Day 27 of the Nationwide Lockdown. Decidedly chilly this morning. A long walk with Maisie starting out in the dark. I walked nearly 8 kms. I reckon she ran 40 kms... gloriously chasing rabbits in the wide open spaces. These beautiful pink flowers are Japanese Anemones or “Wind Flowers” growing in our garden. A good friend gave me cuttings of them. We also have the more common white ones flowering at present. Good news on the Covid-19 front.... only five new cases in the last day. Sadly another elderly Resthome lady in her 70s has died up in Auckland. We feel for her family and friends. Only another week to go until we drop down from Alert Level Four and tight lockdown to Level Three. Yay!
