2 Berks in a Boat

The highlight of my day was recording today’s story. As it was about pirates, D thought it would be a good idea to read it in the kayak on the river. It wasn’t without its problems as I kept floating away but we got it done in the end and I actually enjoyed my little cruise up and down the Granta.
The story required a ‘pirate voice’ and as well as my accent veering somewhere between Jimmy Durante and Pam Ayres, I actually thought I was going to lose my voice completely at one point.
Anyway, it’s now ‘in the can’ and hopefully my children will find it entertaining. (My school children, obviously. My own children found it hideously embarrassing).
