Looking east

We decided to go for a different walk today leaving just after breakfast.  It was a warm sunny day without the cold wind of yesterday and we headed out along the back streets towards the local golf course.  This entails a short walk through some woods and across fields with lovely views.  When we got to the golf course the sky was a beautiful rich blue contrasting well with the manicured empty lawns and the surrounding trees.  At the top of the course there are panoramic views of the sea and surrounding areas.  Several people were taking the opportunity to explore the area but we kept on the coastal path and headed towards Littleham.  Areas of the cliff are constantly eroding with parts of it rather too close to the cliff edge for my liking.  Todays blip shows a view from this area but on more solid ground, looking back towards Budleigh.  After walking through Littleham we picked up the old railway line now a cycle and footpath back home.  We met up with two friends from our walking group here.  I think its quite likely I will have met most of our group by the time this lockdown finishes.  We didn't spot that many birds but did see the following butterflies, Peacock, Orange tip and Brimstone.

When we got home at lunchtime we were happy to see that our son had just prepared it for us all.  Great timing.
