Bright shot
This is our new reading lamp. It's a LED-lamp, that outputs about 20'000 cd, while consuming about 2.2Watt.
It's quite small, doesn't really heat up and gives a nice circle of light.
That's one typical property of LED's, you can only get directional light, which makes them unsuited for normal lighting in a living-room, or you'll have to mount a lot of them on the ceiling pointing down. But for a small reading-light it works just fine.
I used my flash from the side (using an extension-cord) to compensate for the very bright LED-light and also had to set the focus to manual, because the auto-focus just couldn't handle it.
This is one of the first shots with my new Canon 50mm F/1.8 lens :)
NH, you were right, I should have bought it right along with the camera.
