Spring leaves

We had a lovely late afternoon walk.  The leaves are all beginning to appear now.

On sunny mornings I have taken to having my coffee and phoning my mum and dad while sitting in the greenhouse.  This morning the insect in my extra was flying around and investigating the flowers in my pots with his proboscis.  
Thechimp did some research and we think it is a bee fly or humble fly.  Thechimp has a better picture than mine if you want to see him more clearly.
