Candles In The Wind

This is the first shot I took today. I often try to anchor my pics of planes to terra firma. I like how the 'candles'* on our horse chestnut are catching the early light as the Cargolux 747 from Novosibirsk in Russia flies over on its way to Stansted.

I'm getting much more interested in freight planes since lockdown and am enjoying tracking them on flightradar24. I'm learning lots about the geography of far flung places.

*When a horse chestnut tree flowers it is said to be 'in candle'.
