Ducking out

I read an article today that explains why video calls are so exhausting. It really resonated with me - it says that it’s to do with the amount of concentration you need for them to be effective. I think that’s true especially when you add a dose of complexity and duplication to unravel.

I managed a walk with my husband before dinner and we went to the local lake for a change. It wasn’t too busy but there were plenty of ducks out. It’s always fun to watch them messing around on the water together.

The kids cooked dinner - my son getting a lesson on how to BBQ from my husband. He’s Canadian so very proud of his BBQ so I was glad he’s starting to pass on his grilling skills! A few more episodes of “This is us” tonight (highly recommended) and now I’m ready for some sleep.
