A pair of woodpeckers

We have been hearing woodpeckers on most of our Kinnoull Hill walks, and we glimpsed them a few times. Finally I managed to get a shot of not one, but a pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers. The male is below the female on the tree.

It's a distant shot through the trees, at the limit of my lightweight telephoto lens. I was still delighted to get it!
