i was so sure work was going to be busy today with march madness in portland this weekend. i was visioning myself making lots of tips. but we weren't as busy as i'd hoped. stupid bad economy. reminds me every time i work where exactly i fit in to the totem pole. at least my bracket isn't doing too bad so far!

it rained and sunned off and on again today. i enjoyed taking a few pics on my way back to the train after work when the sky was really dramatic and the light was really bright against the wet pavement and buildings. that first point of departure is looking out from the cafe attached to the restaurant that i work at two days a week. the rest are from either pioneer square or the hollywood train station. i am really trying to feel more comfortable taking surreptitious photos of people in the city. i find that i yank the camera down too quickly after clicking the shutter out of self-consciousness. making things a little fuzzy. have to work on that...
