Cuckoo Flower...

... or Lady's Smock, Milk Maids or Mayflower is growing on the river bank.  I'm not cutting the grass so often so far this year and my rewards are having more wild flowers appearing than I can remember seeing before, they are bringing a lot of pleasure in these troubled times.
The extra is a little Willow Warbler, that stopped by just above me  in the Alder as I drank my Earl Grey sitting on my new bench by the river first thing this morning.    The sun was quite bright and it isn't the best of captures, but as it's a rarity (for me at least) I felt I had to show it for my own records.
Just in from gardening, patio doors wide open enjoying the birdsong and what happens, neighbours in the next road are having a barbecue (can't stand the smell myself) and playing loud music, would you believe it!!
