Clean and tidy

Why, oh why didn't I at least make a start yesterday on the cleaning and tidying for the invasion of the music group?! But no, once again everything had to done this morning, up and about at 8.30 with just barely enough time to get the place respectable for 1.00 pm. At least we had a good session: good company, interaction, and music.

Just one quick drink afterwards in my local, with a bit of a chat with yesterday's what is now a client. He'd got access details and other technical info from his hosting provider, which he passed on to me. I checked all that out when I got back home, so was later than intended making my way across town to Carl's place. We had a quick bite to eat and then went for a few drinks locally. The Eagles House, which is the closest drinking establishment, was fine until just after we ordered our second pint, at which stage the far-too-loud live music began. It was all a bit uncomfortable, too noisy to hold a conversation without shouting, so we moved on up the road to Fitzgeralds instead. That was much nicer and quieter and more relaxed.

Back in Carl's Kino we opted for Burn After Reading. The trailer had looked good, reviews were enthusiastic, and the Cohen Brothers are involved. Despite all that, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The only saving grace was Brad Pitt's top-notch character performance. We didn't make it to the end. Not worth the effort.
