More roses

It was G's name day today so we were inundated with phone calls, which was nice.
Also my sister's 60th birthday so we had a chat on the phone too. They had had great plans to mark her big birthday - a holiday in the Caribbean. But thanks to the brilliant weather, they were at least able to enjoy a Caribbean themed barbecue in their back garden.
Here by contrast winter temperatures seem to have returned. My walk today took me to the next suburb's street market and back, and I spent a good while on the way back inspecting gardens and flowers. There were more interesting things than roses but these looked so lovely against the blue sky.
