these little fellows are hungry.
the darlingtonia californica inhabits a rather large bog in a protected area just north of where we live.
the unusual plant traps and digests insects.
it's habitat is found in bogs and swamps in southern oregon and northern california.
the plant is also known as cobra lily, cobra orchid and pitcher plant.
it's range varies from 6,000 feet to sea level.
