Fuel's paradise

I don't drive anymore, but am I alone in thinking there's a massive ripoff going on at the petrol pumps with priced per litre still well over a pound. Last time oil prices crashed but by far less than now petrol dipped below. the £1 mark even if briefly. Is this the old story of cutting prices too little and too late, but ramping them up again at the earliest opportunity?
