Tax authorities

Let me state that I am impressed by all the measurements the government has taken to support citizens and entrepreneurs, and the speed at which things are taken care of. But....

I've had a phone call today by a tax inspector, an old fashioned one.....a dinosaur.
We soon got tangled in a discussion about asking for deferral of payment for several clients, which, of course, I've done already.
All by letter, well before deadlines.

This man simply told me he couldn't process them, because (very long story short) I was too soon with my request. I should have waited until fines are sent. What???!!!!

This man was so wrong! And so persistent in it!
Well, so was I.
I read to him things  and protocols given on the website but he wouldn't give in. Information on the website was wrong, not accurate and incomplete he said.
I noticed during the conversation that he realized he was on the wrong track here, but still wouldn't budge. What an idiot!
This man should be relieved of his duties. Go home! Don't come back.

After this I took a cup of coffee to calm down.
