I decided to check out the Portrait Gallery at lunchtime today. People had put some flowers at the foot of a statue of Robert Burns, which I thought somewhat quaint. There was also an exhibition by the photographer Jitka Hanzlova that was maddening in that most of the pictures didn't have any captions. This included the one totally standout picture of a woman in a sari that looked almost 3-D. So annoying not to read abit more about the picture! The same picture was used as the cover shot for the book of the exhibition, but even that didn't say anything more about the photograph.
This portrait was taken inside the gallery. There's too much motion blur, was underexposed, but the image was still recoverable after some intensive care.
