In the first project ( 1506 ) two towers were planned but finally they could only build only for economic reasons.
Besides this unique tower, in the original project the tower was significantly higher ( double high as this one ) but cause of bad foundation and ground conditions, during the construction they observed a partial collapse and it was even necessary to remove a body already built.
