Sea Green

Today, we walked along from home to the East coast cliff paths and looked down over Fermain Bay where there is a Martello Tower at the top of the beach. This was the view through the trees as we walked along. The sea was the most beautiful sea green. The martello tower by the beach has been made into self catering accommodation recently and is very popular. (Both in extras)  The beach cafe and restaurant are of course closed but we could see the owner was there making hopeful preparations. We then  walked along the coastal cliff path until we were above Bec du Nez and the small fishing boats which are usually in the water by now. (Also in extras) We descended many steps and found ourselves on the lower coastal path just above the bay. We knew that the journey home would involve a very steep climb.

We sat on a bench for a while and saw the freight ferry Commodore Clipper approaching and then watched her negotiate the buoys and head for St Peter Port. The climb back up the cliff path to the top was recorded on Mrs BR's fitbit as 16 floors, so not too bad.

We did not meet many people out on the paths but thankfully there is always somewhere that you can move to to keep the required social distance.
