...from the Latin, "mortarium"; among several other usages, "receptacle for pounding". After a week of long hours, difficult messages and occasional hostile exchanges with senior managers, I'm feeling like a receptacle for taking a pounding. So glad the weekend is here.

Scouts was good tonight, but I wouldn't want to get lost and pin my hopes on my lot using a compass to guide us home. Much more practice required in Inverness next weekend.
