Alfred John Lawlor

This soldier is dedicated to my Grandmothers brother Alfred John Lawlor killed in action 4th July 1918 (24) by a shell from his own barrage.

He was in “no mans land” in Hamel. He is buried in Crucifix Corner Cemetery He was made by shrapnelcharlie on the #westernfront from spentbullets

He maintained that by bringing one of the soldiers back to Australia we were looking after a “Aussie” missing in action.

We treasure our Anzac and his slouch hat
