Happy Birthday to Her

Herself turned 5mmffs years old today so I put together this collection of pics of herself through the years.

I’ve known her for 39 years now and each stage together has been good. Feels like these 50’s have taken their toll on us each though. You know how some years we just seem to age quickly? That’s been my story these years. But she and her good spirit continue to tick along.

I thought today would be tough because we couldn’t really celebrate like we would like to. But as she said, it turned it to be quite a lovely day.

I took her out for lunch and we went through a drive-through and ate outside at a picnic table. It was just what she likes, in spite of the cool breeze. She got lots of calls from friends and family and best was the granddaughters on a video chat.

So now she’s older than I am, at least for the next four months. Which I am pleased to remind her of. Hopefully by the time my birthday comes around, we will have a few more freedoms.
