Postcard from My Neighbourhood

We had a wonderful warm day with around 25c. At time there was a strong Nor-West wind.. great for getting all my washing dry.

Today was Anzac Day. It is observed on 25 April and commemorates New Zealanders killed in war and honours returned and serving servicemen and women. Here is a link to the history of Anzac Day.

Because there couldn't any dawn services for Anzac day may people across the country gathered at their letterboxes, front doors and living rooms as part of the "Stand at Dawn" campaign, and tuning in to a live stream of a virtual Anzac Day service. Here is a link to the event.

This afternoon I went for a walk around our neighbourhood. I haven't had many walks as I am worried I may fall. So it was good to have John there .. just incase. This collage is all the things we came across on our walk.
