Pen Y Fal was a hospital in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire. It was originally called a Lunatic Asylum, later known as Monmouth Mental Hospital. It existed from 1851 until 1997 and in 2001 Redrow bought it and converted it into apartments. Houses were also built in the extensive grounds.
