Solstice

Christmas this year was to be a little different. G's sister and her partner H were coming to Scotland to spend Christmas with his parents so our presence had been requested. As we had to get to near Stirling and then down to Cumbria, at a time when bus replacement trains were happening, it worked out easier and cheaper for us to get a hire car.

This thankfully meant that we were able to drive up to a friend's to spend the solstice in lovely company, with good food, whisky and a fire (well G wasn't on the whisky as he had to drive home but that's not the point).
