Off Camera

Stanley and I had a wander through Saltridge Common Wood this morning.  We were doing the usual Cranham to Ebworth route but took a detour halfway round.

Stan ran off chasing something that he had seen, but came hurtling back almost immediately when the something turned out to be a large male dear, cantering down the path. 

An impressive sight!

What was more impressive though, was that as we were about a metre and half past where we had seen the deer, another deer, a doe, rose slowly out of the hedgerow and wander off.  We had both walked past an adult deer and not noticed any sign of her.
