Where the wild things are
This is a different part of our garden. About half of our back garden space is a wide, steep slope that leads down to a little stream (or ‘sheugh’ in this part of the world). It is mostly wild with lots of rowan trees and a huge sycamore beside the stream, although we have planted some other native trees such as hazel and willow.
The Ards Man decided that this would also be a good spot for a shed, a sort of ‘outpost’ in the wild place. It is built up on stilts, but most of the wooden structures need to be replaced now. Over the years it has been home to a few wasps’ nests, although it gets so hot in there that they eventually bake, I fear.
I’m sure the Ards Man will get around to its refurbishment at some stage....
