Nearly but not quite

Mrs J was determined to prove that she could land on the bird bath without her husband's assistance.  Several times she launched herself off the garden wall, lost her nerve, fluttered desperately in mid air, then returned to the safety of the wall.  She never did make it, but full marks for trying.
