Hare
Nothing silly about this photo, but I’ve had a very silly day.
Had my Silly Saturday shot all planned. Our new (well quite old now) microwave is very attractive, but silly when you come to use it. It’s a downgrade on our main microwave which is possibly (definitely) the best microwave we have had in some forty-five years. As it does baking and grilling and microwaving all at the same time we wanted something to do the veg in while the main meal or the baked jacket potatoes were cooking.
So last year we bought a smaller version of the first microwave, and technically it’s every bit as good at cooking as it’s big brother - BUT . . .
. . . we have two main grouses -
1 It has a very smart dark door. This means that you can hardly see what is cooking when the kitchen is dark, and you can’t see inside at all with the kitchen light on or in the daytime!
2 The controls are very smart blending into the décor of the front of the microwave, so you can’t see clearly which button to press, and here’s the crunch, we were for ever pressing the delay start button instead of the start button - SO I stuck a piece of yellow tape over the button so that we could see it. This I thought would be an excellent Silly Saturday blip.
Now for the silliest bit - when I photographed it this morning ALL the buttons shone out like daylight, no matter what I did. So that silly blip went into the recycle bin!!!!
More silliness, This afternoon I sat out on the patio for an hour or two with the telephoto lens all set up on the tripod waiting to capture one of the multitude of birds the visit us on the back gate. NOT ONE came!!!
So you’ve got a long distance shot of a hare in the field between us and the A15. Zoom at 600mm and ISO-1250 with the sun behind it. Not brilliant, but there you go . . .
Many thanks to Admirer for hosting Silly Saturday
