Look What She’s Done!

Lockdown Day 34

The boys were desperately in need of a fur cut and Charlotte’s not doing any doggy grooming at the moment, so we placed an order for some clippers, but unfortunately they’re out of stock. So this morning after cutting Alan’s hair, we set to with his clippers on Bobbie and Milou.

While I washed them both, Alan set up a ‘grooming salon’ in the garden and we took it in turns with each dog, and just did a bit at a time so as not to stress them out. We started with their underbellies, as Charlotte said this is the most important bit, as this will help keep them cool. I then cut their face, head, ears and paws with scissors, but when we tried to do their bodies, the clippers gave up, so we left their main coat fluffy. They just look like they’ve got fat bodies and little heads now though lol!

I took lots of photos - before, during and after, but I love this one as Bobbie’s walking towards me. They seem quite happy anyway, but I’m sure they can’t wait to go back to Charlotte!

Once the grooming parlour closed, Alan carried on with Bertie Bus, I got in the hot tub and then chilled out in the garden. So another day has passed in lockdown, we’re getting there, I think hope!

My Brighton Skies buddy Louise joined blip at the end of last year, but hasn’t blipped again until tonight so I’ve attached the link to her journal here, please pop over and say hello :-)

Happy Saturday x

Coronavirus deaths in the UK have now passed 20,000 as another 813 die. So where the numbers seemed to be falling about a week ago, they’ve increased dramatically. I think lockdown is going to have to continue for some time yet, but I fear people are getting ‘bored’ as there are far too many cars on the road and there seem to be more people out and about in this nice weather.
