Mallard Family
There's a family of four mallards who have established themselves over the last month along the little stretch of Biel Burn which runs down to the pedestrian bridge which leads into John Muir Country Park. As the main car park for John Muir has been closed to stop too many people gathering together, this entrance from Sea Road has become the main way that most people can enter the country park and get to Belhaven Beach. This means that there is now considerable footfall along this path and in these socially distancing days you often have to wait for others to cross over the bridge before you can proceed yourself. As many of the walkers have dogs with them these ducks have to be ever alert for dogs trying to dive into the stream to catch them.
