Regrowing leek?

Can you regrow leek? I'm trying anyway.

Busy day. I was stripping the paint from the 1930s old front door. But as I got near the end, I realised that I'm stripping paint from a later addition pinned over the original. Tomorrow I'm going to try to lift it and see what the original is like beneath.
