At Home: Twinkle, twinkle little star....

I must have blinked and missed it. The last ten years or 3, 650 days ago that little Ella born. Tiny. So small and perfectly formed, 6lb, 2oz. Very long fingers I recall, always moving them like spiders attached. I think she was trying to work out what they were for. She was born with her eyes open. She didn't shut them for almost a whole day after.

Having a baby is surreal. Its such a natural thing, yet understanding that your body can create a perfect human being is miraculous. I know its miraculous that warming the egg in the incubator for 21 days sends an eating egg into a live chick..cells joining into a fine tapestry to form a unique being.

My unique being, Ella is very happy with her birthday celebrations. After ten years together, she is as colourful and fun and as wide awake all the time, as the day she was born. Still a go getter....Still keeping the rest of the world at arms length.,,,happy birthday Ella xx
