Sunday Zoom Lunch
Well it was a world first for me today. I have never had lunch with someone when they’re 300 kilometres away. A friend and I decided we would do a Zoom lunch today and would start the Zoom session while we were both cooking the same meal. It was a lot of fun and took immense concentration. The best part was sitting down and hopping into our creations at the end of the cook.
I also cooked Wild Rice today for the first time. I’ve discovered the secret to cooking rice is to first soak it overnight or for 8-10 hours before cooking it, particularly brown and wild rice. I then steam it in my Thermomix with a little Olive Oil and a pinch of salt in the water. The Wild Rice today was absolutely delicious. Who would have though!!
