Clearly in charge...

... of guarding this hole in the tree!  A pair of blue tits were flitting in and out at speed this morning, probably with mouths to feed. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to capture a sharp shot of both birds together.

But it wasn't the birds that caught my attention as we walked through Harrogate Pinewoods this morning. The first thing to notice was the wide range of funghi growing on the tree (see my extra).

This is probably an interesting tree to revisit at some point.
