Nothing can stop her
...from enjoying life in lockdown. Xena is very active when on a walk, she darts off the path into the thicker part of the woods chasing squirrels, birds, butterflies....I decided to try and capture her leaping around as she always does, not so easy to photograph but I got a few images I liked.
Being another lovely sunny and warm day we decided on a BBQ for lunch. Gavin realised he was running low on gas for the BBQ and so tried a few garages for a gas bottle, and eventually he went to a nearby BBQ shop which was open and very busy. The owner said he has had a very busy weekend. Customers are queuing outside and only one in to the store at a time so all the social distancing rules are being adhered to. There is a definite sense of lockdown fatigue now, the roads are busier during the week with people going to work, and now that DIY retailers are starting to open again (B&Q and Home Base) I think a few others are also thinking they too can open.
Interesting to read which countries lead with the most deaths due to Covid-19 per million - and yes, the figures per country are not accurate as every country reports differently on the Covid-19 deaths, but based on the figures that have been released, the most deaths per million occurred in Belgium, followed by Spain, then Italy, France, UK, Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and then USA.
Last night Luke made the most delicious supper, it was a Thai chicken laksa that had grated butternut in it to thicken it - it was superb! Today Gavin made chicken kebabs for the BBQ, which took some time to thread the chicken and veg on to the skewers, but again it was another delicious meal.
