Hazel tree

This little plant was growing in a tub and when i pulled it out it was a hazel tree probably planted by the squirrel when hiding the nuts from the big tree.

Today a little girl called Ada aged 5 who has a rare liver disease ran 2.5 miles round the streets of the next village, Allerton Bywater, a long run for little legs, to raise money for the charity that has supported her and her family. Her mum, dad and family members were going to run the marathon but of course it was cancelled so Ada her mum and dad decided to do their own marathon. It was videoed by a local chap and we could watch it on facebook. People were out cheering her on and clapping and bless her she ran all the way. Up to press she has raised over £3000. It was very emotional at times. Her mum was great keeping her going you could hear her talking to her and i bet they are so proud of her.

I hope someone alerts the press and TV and she raises more money.

Makes you feel humble what some people do especially when they are so young.

Her auntie presented her with a medal at the finishing line.

Its been another lovely day but change is in the air next week they say. But we do need a bit of rain.
