Pond Life

Just a day of pottering. Our garden pond is only a few years old, but is full of life: pond skaters, water boatmen, diving beetles, water snails, frogs and lots of newts. I counted half a dozen the other day. I believe they are palmate newts. Most days I spend at least half an hour gazing into the water - it's a very soothing activity.
