Plymouth from the Stonehouse peninsula
Another lovely day off and on. The promenade walk along the front has been restricted for some considerable time by a fence because the marines needed to redo their fence. At the time they were trying to sell the barracks and we cynically thought that they wanted to sequester the frontage for whoever bought the plot! So the above is a photo from the end of the promenade looking across to Plymouth. If I can sort out how to add the extras I will pop on a couple of other photos from today’s walk.
This situation has made me into a curmudgeon! The car park at devils point has been closed since lock down began and most people have abided by the rules but today as I went past someone was sitting in their car looking out to sea. As I walked past the police drove along and blocked him in and at that point I moved away but I was sadly glad that the police were doing their job! Then I felt guilty because we who are locals have a beautiful place to walk! Such a complicated situation!
