Hedging your bets

Not the most skilful photo but what a surprise to come across a hedge formed from oak trees entwined with apple trees laden with blossom. We had a late afternoon walk and as our reward saw a lone hare dashing across the hillside. We heard plenty of birdsong but none of the feathery choir came into view. I had given up hope of finding something to take a picture of when I noticed the unusual hedge. Having planted various hedges over the years was surprised to see these trees hedging their bets .
