Flying, Crawling, Jumping Fun

I'm a happy woman. I have twice seen my favourite, big-eyed, acorn weevils under the oak that MrQ saved this season but accidentally knocked them off their perches before I could capture them. I got a shot today. :) (Bottom right.)

I've been rolling around in the field shooting cricket nymphs. They're so tiny and appealing. (Main pic) Whilst hunting crickets I found a hairy ladybird and a Mirid. A pair of Rhopalus subrufus were mating on a dandelion clock. Jack Heron flew in to the gum tree on the island in the lake.

The police Eurocopter and an AS 355 Squirrel belonging to a filming company flew over.
