Cyclone Oswald Hits

Three days without power, water, phone, mobile, and finally got some petrol to reach a town library an hour and a half away on the coast with wifi. Will catch up later - limited access and time here.

This is our stream, now a raging torrent. You can see the footpath and bikeway that use d to cross under the bridge beside the stream. It's the highest ever seen or recorded.

4 lives are known to be lost in QLD. We have had a miserable few days though today got power back and water. Just thrown out the contents of fridge and freezer. No new food supplies in town as yet and only 2 businesses had generators so the many cafes and food shops have lost everything.

Glad to be alive (and to finally get clean).
