Love them or loathe them

I used to love Lilies-of-the-Valley, but I spent this morning digging them up as their roots had spread under the paths and was pushing up the tarmac, and smothering everything in its path. I used to like the smell, but now I find it overpowering (and my daughter once said that it was a smell of old ladies). So now they've got to go!
