Paul’s Pallets...

Dry again ! Kev on mucking out again . I bedded while he was away emptying to speed things up.
The contractor in to spray Roundup on the ground the sand quarry reinstated last back end as it is a mass of dockens. The next stage was meant to be to drain it before the grass is sown, but who knows if that will happen with everything still in lockdown .
Mrs F has to go into work in the big smoke today , it only took half an hour to get there as opposed to the usual hour’s commute.
Went away to spread more fertiliser after lunch. Last week’s lorry load is disappearing fast- at least if I can’t pay for it they will have a job taking it back !
A pal from the village wanted these pallets to use to make a hen house for some hens they are getting. So in response to the age old question of “Which came first , the chicken or the egg?” The answer is the chicken hut !
Managed to have a chat from a safe distance as did our daughters who have been pals since nursery school. Nice to see someone different for a change .
Managed to get yesterday’s cow and calf slipped through the gate into the banking behind the steading this morning. It looks like it has sucked one teat so hopefully it will decide the other 3 are a good idea soon .
