Coffee and a cake
I had a busy lunch break today making a cake. I recently read in a recipe book how stop the cake mix splitting as you add the eggs. It seems you have to add them really really slowly a little bit at a time (a tea spooned was suggested), it did seem to work. I also found out that if it does split, it impacts the rise. I never knew that! Anyway the cake tasted delicious and we have some left for tomorrow.
I am going to have a go at making scones later in the week, does anyone have any tips?
Working at home, sunshine but also cloud and a light shower. Lots of rain forecast overnight.
