Flicker flare

Here is a male Red-shafted Northern Flicker trying to impress the females. I was actually waiting for him to fly off, so I could shoot the lovely red color under his wings. But he insisted on staying put and flashing his various red parts, one by one (wing, tail, other wing). This is his right wing.
