Catmint

A chilly, cloudy morning turned sunny later on. I got a walk in each half of the day. This morning I stopped at the marshy area in Ashburn that I visited last week. Today as I sat on the bench I was surrounded overhead, and almost dive-bombed, by exuberant swallows. This evening I huffed my way up the hill with W. and enjoyed the sun. In between, apart from work and errands, I had a good visit with my friend Laura. She dropped off some goodies (pumpkin whoopee pies with cream cheese frosting!). I made two mugs of tea, dragged a couple deck chairs out of storage and set them well apart on the front walk, and we had a good chat.
